NO Heating or Hot water
We all know how, or can imagine how,frustrating it is when we have no heating or hot water . A recent job highlighted how we can prevent issues. By having a regular service schedule set up and tests carried out on the heating system. This will ensure optimum performance.
We have recently been called to a customer’s heating system to see why it wasn’t working . Also to have a look at way’s to put this right . We listened the the customers worries and heard her tell us what the issues were with the system .
The system wasn’t getting hot and the boiler was banging and clattering. It was that loud the noise could be heard all over the house ,even outside .
We explained to the customer what work would be going off and how we we were going to set about it . With an agreed plan in places and an idea of time it may take we Set about the task in hand .
Finding and sorting the problem
In a little over a couple of hours we found the issue. It was an approximate length of 7m of pipe that was totally blocked with sediment and debris . This was from the systems lack of maintenance over the years.
We replaced this pipe with new and refilled the heating system . We added inhibitor to further protect the system and the heating system ran fine . This was with the exception of a few cold Spots on radiators now .We have booked in to revisit and carry out a power flush and magna cleanse flush of the heating system. This should then ensure the customer has no heating and no hot water again ..
