Boiler stove replacement is today’s job in Sheffield . We were called to look at a leaking multifuel boiler stove . On arrival we listened to the customers issues and concerned . The customer told us it had been in over 40 years. That’s a long time and they have had no issues with it until the leak . We looked at the area of the leak. The leak was found and was from the boiler itself .

We explained to the customer about our observations and recommendations . They listened and decided to go for a brand new boiler stove . The model was the Stratford arada EB9 . These are one of the most efficient boiler stoves . The unique design of the boiler enables a 50% quicker heat up time than comparable boiler stoves . They also come with a 7 year warranty . Back to the job , we quickly drained down the heating ready to remove the boiler stove. Flue pipe removed next and then uncoupling the heating pipes . Whilst we were doing this the boiler fell off the boiler it was that corroded . If they had a service schedule n place this may not have happened . Good job this happened with no water in 🙂 Because it fell off it left sludge from the system all over the hearth. This was cleaned and hearth looked as good as new .

Boiler stove is out now and waiting fitting of the new stove and liner . We will be using 904/904 liner. This is the best quality liner and carries the best warranty. It is really the only one to use with solid fuel as other liners will corrode away to nothing . We do not recommend the use of 316 liner with boiler stoves .
