Worcester Bosch Oil Boiler Install with Boiler Stove and Thermal Store in Newark

This week we are starting a job of a Worcester Bosch oil boiler install combining this with a Stratford Boiler stove and a thermal store in Newark.

To do this we have had to remove an old oil fired boiler and make way for a new Bosch model. The firs three to four days have been a team of 3 of us just making routes for pipe work. Along with 3 x 4″ /100 mm ventilation holes for the Boiler stove. The model we are fitting is a Stratford Eco Boiler 25. This along with it being the hottest July on record its been a bit of a long and sweaty week.

First Day On the Job

This involved us going round the site/house with the customer again and going over the discussed pipe runs and ventilation requirements again to make sure nothing as been missed, as it would be a little late once we have holes in the wall and ceilings down for the pipework. But still not laid a pipe , actually looks like we have done no work.

Second/Third Day

We have now all the holes laid out on the job . We know where the pipes are going now and get on with laying the pipes. This includes over 150 Metres of 22 mm pipe . This will be protected in the screed by a plastic conduit pipe made specially for the job.. We have run a new hot and cold to the area where the Store will be and hung a gravity Radiator. A raised hearth has been built for the Stratford Boiler stove and Telford Copper Thermal Store . Air vent covers have been fitted and were almost ready to fit the Boiler stove and and the flue.#

Fourth/Fifth Day

We are now on a mission for the customer to make it look like we have actually done work and fit some of the hardware. We make a start on the Stratford Boiler stove and flue . This involved fitting a sleeve through the wall for the flue to pass through . Also the Boiler stove had to be centralized and then the flue fitted and connected to the outside.
